Bob and Fred: Getting to HA! – November 12
October 12th, 2007 - Josh Silverman

Bob’s Your Uncle and Fred present their integrated approach to industrial + graphic design, marketing, content, packaging… and FUN!
Bob’s Your Uncle was founded by Martin and Michele Yeeles in 2001. Originally from England, they moved to the States in 1993 “just for a year or two” and have been in Boston since. Martin is a graphic designer, Michele a former shoe-designer. “Bob’s your uncle” is a British expression used to indicate that a given task is very simple. Possibly inspired by Victorian Prime Minister, Robert Cecil, who appointed his nephew to a ministerial post, therefore to have Bob as your uncle was a guarantee of success.
Fred is a company specializing in fun, funky, yet functional items for the home. Many of their innovative products are fully developed in-house at their design studio in Cumberland, RI. Products are taken from the rough sketch stage to finished product, and then fitted with distinctive packaging concepts that grab customers’ attention. Fred also collaborates with a network of top designers and companies worldwide to expand their product offerings, giving buyers a greater selection of items with “gotta have it” appeal.
