So, what’s the real difference between design and advertising? When you get right down to it, both deal with visual problem solving in the service of communication. But there are subtleties and details that differ between design for advertising and design for anything else. This coming Tuesday, June 19th, discuss what those differences are with folks from Providence ad agencies Duffy & Shanley and Nail.

Design by Night (DxN) is an informal hybrid salon/networking gathering, in which AIGA members discuss design topics on the third Tuesday of each month at Julian’s restaurant, from 6:00 – 9:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend, and encouraged to participate.
